Terms & Policies (Web / Mobile)

If you own or operate a website or mobile app, you need at least two agreements: Terms of Use, and Privacy Policies. You can embed them as links at the bottom of your pages, becoming binding upon use.

Terms of Use: also known as “Terms & Conditions” and “Terms of Service”, these are the rules for using your portal or app. They inform the user, and get him/her/they to agree, on how to navigate the page or app, while also permitting and prohibiting certain activities - such as intellectual property infringement, hacking and other misconduct.

Privacy Policy: since users provide sensitive information (such as IP addresses and geolocation data) to your page or app, you are required by law to provide certain disclosures as to how you obtain, store, manage, transmit and discard that data. If you are gathering other private information, such as emails, phone numbers and payment data, you should also be prepared for unauthorized breaches by having a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan.
